Nine Dragon Transformations · Listening to Thunder
Nine postures, each with its own expression. Nine Dragon Transformations · Listening to Thunder shares the collection’s round thin rim and graphite-black colored brass, with restrained warm-brass accents on selected scales and horn tips. A single dragon rests across the lower field, lifting its head at right toward three short angular thunder marks and sparse clouds at upper left. Fine scales and flowing whiskers follow the continuous metal field, while the central mounting area stays quiet and both auxiliary apertures remain open. Two short thunder marks at the upper right and a small cloud at the lower left simplify the scene on the reverse. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated brass fittings connect the two faces and continue the collection’s shared palette and ornament.
