Stars move in the distance; their paths remain close at hand. Three Stellar Orbits · Distant Stars uses colored brass. Five small stars rise in a loose line along the right rim. Three fine trails at the lower left face the open ground. The shared softly rounded TRIANGLE outline with three equally broad rounded corners, thin graphite rim with one fine warm-brass inner line gathers the composition. Graphite-black colored brass with restrained warm-brass accents is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. Three stars at the lower right and a fine arc at the upper left simplify the reverse. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Three Stellar Orbits.
