Baize · Looking Back
Small details open a wider view; stillness carries its own voice. Baize · Looking Back brings together bright natural white copper, a thin round rim and fine shallow relief. Baize walks slowly left along the upper arc and turns its head back to the right, its tail extending with the movement. A short branch at lower left and a shallow stone at lower right suggest its path. Silver-white fields and soft light-gray shadows reveal the ornament’s depth. The reverse retains one short branch at lower left and a shallow stone line at upper right. A central tapered slot and two auxiliary apertures remain open in the unmounted guard. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain silver-white fittings complete the pairing.
