Three Tea Garden Scenes · Quiet Tea Bowl
Before a word of tea, the garden has grown quiet. Three Tea Garden Scenes · Quiet Tea Bowl uses natural brass. A shallow bowl rests at the lower left, with two wisps of steam rising along the rim. A fallen leaf at the upper right faces the open field. The shared classic softly four-lobed mokko outline, thin smooth rim and fine inner line gathers the composition. Warm natural brass throughout is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. A short bowl arc at the upper right and fine steam lines at the lower left echo the front. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Three Tea Garden Scenes.
