Pixiu Guardian · Patrolling the Court

Order in a small space, guardianship given form. Pixiu Guardian · Patrolling the Court uses natural brass, compact shallow-relief beast forms and geometric corner engravings within a thin rounded-square rim. A Pixiu steps right along the lower arc, lifting one forepaw while its other paws stagger along a short plinth line. A small cloud at upper left balances the open field. A fine satin field and natural metallic highlights bring out the beast and angular lines. The reverse retains one small cloud at upper left and one short plinth line at lower right. A plain central field and single tapered aperture remain clear. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared material and ornament.
