Celestial Steed · Chasing the Sun

A journey among clouds, with a scene in every step. Celestial Steed · Chasing the Sun uses navy-blue colored brass, fine warm-brass lines and shallow relief. A thin four-lobed mokko rim echoes the continuous cloud ribbon below. A horse rears along the left rim and looks toward a small sun at upper right. Its two forelegs bend upward while its two hindlegs meet a short slope, with a cloud ribbon below supporting the rising composition. A plain central field and single tapered aperture give the horse and clouds room to unfold. The reverse retains one small sun disc at upper left and one short slope at lower right. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared material and ornament.
