Feathers open and fold within a shared circle. Auspicious Wings · Phoenix at Rest uses natural brass. The phoenix rests its head at the upper right as a folded wing and three long tail feathers turn around the lower rim. Sparse cloud leaves room above. The shared near-circular outline with a single fine inner border and thin smooth rounded rim gathers the composition. Warm natural brass throughout is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. Fine tail-feather lines at the upper left and a small cloud at the lower right echo the front. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Auspicious Wings.
