Order in a small space, guardianship given form. Pixiu Guardian · Looking Back uses natural brass, compact shallow-relief beast forms and geometric corner engravings within a thin rounded-square rim. A Pixiu walks left along the upper arc and turns its head back to the right, its four paws staggered. A fine cloud at lower left and a short stepped line at lower right frame the turning movement. A fine satin field and natural metallic highlights bring out the beast and angular lines. The reverse retains one small cloud at upper left and one short stepped line at lower right. A plain central field and single tapered aperture remain clear. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared material and ornament.
