A journey among clouds, with a scene in every step. Celestial Steed · Listening to the Wind uses navy-blue colored brass, fine warm-brass lines and shallow relief. A thin four-lobed mokko rim echoes the continuous cloud ribbon below. A horse stands along the left rim and raises its head gently toward the upper right, with its four legs quietly staggered. Two wind lines cross the open field at upper right, while the cloud ribbon unfolds below. A plain central field and single tapered aperture give the horse and clouds room to unfold. The reverse retains two short wind lines at upper left and one small cloud at lower right. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared material and ornament.
