Baize · Listening to the Wind
Small details open a wider view; stillness carries its own voice. Baize · Listening to the Wind brings together bright natural white copper, a thin round rim and fine shallow relief. Baize stands facing right along the upper arc, ears lifted and its flowing mane swept gently left. Two fine wind lines near the lower rim echo the figure above. Silver-white fields and soft light-gray shadows reveal the ornament’s depth. The reverse retains a short wind line at upper left and two shallow arcs at lower right. A central tapered slot and two auxiliary apertures remain open in the unmounted guard. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain silver-white fittings complete the pairing.
