Winter enters the pattern; branches and leaves find a voice. Three Winter Companions · Slender Bamboo uses natural brass. Slender bamboo rises from the lower left and reaches toward the upper right, leaving the lower-right field clear. The shared classic four-lobed mokko outline, four broad rounded lobes and shallow diagonal notches, a thin smooth rim with fine inner line gathers the composition. Warm natural brass throughout is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. Bamboo leaves at the lower right and a fine stem at the upper left remain on the reverse. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Three Winter Companions.
