Five rhythms of ornament follow the edge. Five Elements in Motion · Wood Growth uses colored brass. An abstract new branch grows along the left rim, with slender leaves and two pale bud tips reaching upward. The shared original gently rounded PENTAGON outline, five equal rounded corners, a thin warm-brass rim and fine inner border gathers the composition. Deep-brown colored brass with warm-brass relief and restrained silver-white accents is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. Only a short branch and a pale bud tip remain at the lower right on the reverse. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Five Elements in Motion.
