Baize · Resting in Stillness

Small details open a wider view; stillness carries its own voice. Baize · Resting in Stillness brings together bright natural white copper, a thin round rim and fine shallow relief. Baize rests on a low stone along the upper rim, its head lowered to the left and mane gathered along its shoulders. Two horizontal ridge lines remain below. Silver-white fields and soft light-gray shadows reveal the ornament’s depth. The reverse retains one shallow stone at upper left and two short ridge lines at lower right. A central tapered slot and two auxiliary apertures remain open in the unmounted guard. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain silver-white fittings complete the pairing.
