Bamboo and Stone · Bamboo Sound

A line of bamboo, a stone without words. Bamboo and Stone · Bamboo Sound uses natural brass. Two bamboo stems rise along the left rim, opening their leaves toward the upper right. A small stone rests opposite below. The shared softly asymmetrical LEAF-OVAL outline, gently pinched but fully ROUNDED top and bottom, broad continuous thin rim, no sharp tips gathers the composition. Warm natural brass throughout is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. Bamboo leaves at the upper right and a fine stem at the lower left simplify the reverse. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Bamboo and Stone.
