Four Weather Signs · Passing Rain

Clouds rise and rain falls; the pattern holds their echo. Four Weather Signs · Passing Rain uses colored brass. Low cloud gathers at the upper right as five slanted rain lines fall toward the lower left. Two warm-brass tips gently lift the scene. The shared rounded DIAMOND outline, rotated-square proportions with four broadly rounded cardinal corners, thin smooth graphite rim with four tiny warm-brass bands gathers the composition. Graphite-black colored brass with restrained warm-brass accents is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. Slanted rain at the upper left and a warm-brass drop at the lower right echo the front. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Four Weather Signs.
