A journey among clouds, with a scene in every step. Celestial Steed · Airborne uses navy-blue colored brass, fine warm-brass lines and shallow relief. A thin four-lobed mokko rim echoes the continuous cloud ribbon below. A horse stretches through the air toward the left along the upper arc, with its four legs separated fore and aft and its mane and tail flowing behind. A continuous cloud ribbon below balances the plain central field. A plain central field and single tapered aperture give the horse and clouds room to unfold. The reverse retains two short wind lines at upper left and one small cloud at lower right. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared material and ornament.
