Four Weather Signs · Swift Lightning

Clouds rise and rain falls; the pattern holds their echo. Four Weather Signs · Swift Lightning uses colored brass. A slender lightning fold passes down the left field. Warm brass touches only short turns, balanced by sparse cloud at the upper right. The shared rounded DIAMOND outline, rotated-square proportions with four broadly rounded cardinal corners, thin smooth graphite rim with four tiny warm-brass bands gathers the composition. Graphite-black colored brass with restrained warm-brass accents is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. An angular stroke at the lower right and two small cloud lines at the upper left bring the movement to rest. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Four Weather Signs.
