Nine Dragon Transformations · Returning to the Sea
Nine postures, each with its own expression. Nine Dragon Transformations · Returning to the Sea shares the collection’s round thin rim and graphite-black colored brass, with restrained warm-brass accents on selected scales and horn tips. A single dragon turns from above toward a head at lower left, settling into shallow layered waves; a returning tail at upper left balances the quiet upper-right field. Fine scales and flowing whiskers follow the continuous metal field, while the central mounting area stays quiet and both auxiliary apertures remain open. Gentle tide lines at the lower right and a returning tail arc at the upper left bring the journey to a close. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated brass fittings connect the two faces and continue the collection’s shared palette and ornament.
