A dragon turns and a phoenix opens its wings; their motifs answer one another. Dragon and Phoenix Harmony · Coiling Dragon uses colored brass. A slender dragon coils along the right rim, its head resting above and its long tail turning toward the lower left. Sparse clouds and small warm-brass touches define its expression. The shared near-circular outline, thin rounded graphite rim with four narrow warm-brass bands gathers the composition. Graphite-black colored brass with restrained warm-brass accents is shaped by fine lines and shallow relief. Three scale arcs at the lower left and a small cloud at the upper right bring the movement to rest. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated fittings connect the two faces. Each has its own balance of detail and open space, while sharing the material, palette and decorative language of Dragon and Phoenix Harmony.
