Nine Dragon Transformations · Drinking from the River
Nine postures, each with its own expression. Nine Dragon Transformations · Drinking from the River shares the collection’s round thin rim and graphite-black colored brass, with restrained warm-brass accents on selected scales and horn tips. A single dragon bends its neck from the right rim toward fine ripples at lower left; its long body turns along the upper edge, leaving quiet space above left. Fine scales and flowing whiskers follow the continuous metal field, while the central mounting area stays quiet and both auxiliary apertures remain open. Fine ripples at the upper left and a small scale fragment at the lower right continue the river scene. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated brass fittings connect the two faces and continue the collection’s shared palette and ornament.
