Flowing feathers, a scene of their own. Phoenix Splendor · Returning to the Bough shares the collection’s four-lobed outline, deep vermilion colored brass and restrained warm-brass feather accents. A single phoenix descends from upper right with wings folding, its head directed toward a paulownia branch at lower left; long tail feathers return upward along the right rim. Shallow feather relief meets fine lines, while a single central mounting aperture leaves a continuous metal field for the ornament and open space. The reverse retains a short branch at lower right and a small tail-feather arc at upper left. The primary motif and simpler reverse echo one another. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows, plain warm-brass fittings and thin spacers continue the shared visual rhythm of Phoenix Splendor.
