Mountains and seas take form; wondrous creatures enter the guard. Beasts of Mountains and Seas · Bifang Lifting a Wing uses an upright oval outline and black-brown colored brass. Warm-brass lines and small silver-white and muted red details continue the collection’s shared material direction. Bifang stands on a low stone at right, its long crane-like neck turned left. A single leg supports the body as one wing rises; fine flame patterns at lower left answer the feather tips. Shallow relief surrounds a single central aperture, with the whole composition enclosed by a plain thin rim. The reverse retains one small feather line at upper left and one small flame motif at lower right. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings echo one another.
