Tortoise Bearing Peaks · Crossing the Water
Peaks carried in stillness, water given a quiet voice. Tortoise Bearing Peaks · Crossing the Water uses a rounded-square outline and graphite-gray colored brass, with restrained warm-brass accents along shell ridges and landscape lines. One tortoise walks diagonally from lower left toward upper right, its four legs following two thin water lines; a low shell and open lower-right field keep the scene calm. Shallow shell relief meets open space around a single central aperture. The reverse retains two water lines at upper right and one small shell scute at lower left. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared visual rhythm.
