Five Peaks, One Horizon · Northern Mount Heng
Near ridges, distant peaks, a changing horizon. Five Peaks, One Horizon · Northern Mount Heng develops a mountain landscape on deep-brown colored brass. A cliff rises along the left field, its vertical strata meeting a small pine below, while the upper right opens into a quiet gap of cloud. A rounded-square outline and fine warm-brass border gather the composition, while warm-brass ridgelines and restrained silver-white mist define its layers. A short vertical rock fragment at the lower left balances a silver-white cloud at the upper right on the simpler reverse. A dark-brown wrapped grip, ivory diamond windows and coordinated brass fittings connect the two faces and extend the material, palette and border shared with the other four members of Five Peaks, One Horizon.
