An opening gaze, a closing gaze: day and night take form. Zhulong · In Daylight uses purple-black colored brass, fine warm-brass lines and small muted red accents, with shallow relief enclosed by a thin oval rim. A human-like face at upper right looks left with open eyes. Its long body curls downward along the right rim. A small sun at upper left balances two distant ridge lines below. A plain field surrounds the single central aperture, giving the long figure and celestial motifs room to unfold. The reverse retains one small sun disc at upper left and two short ridges at lower right. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared palette and ornament.
