Five Peaks, One Horizon · Southern Mount Heng
Near ridges, distant peaks, a changing horizon. Five Peaks, One Horizon · Southern Mount Heng develops a mountain landscape on deep-brown colored brass. Gentler ranges recede from the lower left toward the upper right, divided by thin mist, with a small pine resting in the lower-right field. A rounded-square outline and fine warm-brass border gather the composition, while warm-brass ridgelines and restrained silver-white mist define its layers. Three low ridge lines at the upper left and a small cloud at the lower right continue the unhurried sense of distance. A dark-brown wrapped grip, ivory diamond windows and coordinated brass fittings connect the two faces and extend the material, palette and border shared with the other four members of Five Peaks, One Horizon.
