The moon rests in open space; the serpent moves through curves. Serpent Moon · Coiled on Stone uses emerald-green colored brass, fine warm-brass scales and restrained shallow relief. A thin upright elliptical rim frames the quiet moonlit field. A serpent forms one loose coil slightly right of the lower rim, lifting its head toward upper left while its tapered tail remains clear. A crescent at upper left and a short rock line below frame the open field. A plain central field and single tapered aperture bring out the changing rhythm of the serpent’s curve. The reverse retains one slim crescent at upper left and one short rock line at lower right. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared material and ornament.
