Tortoise Bearing Peaks · Carrying the Peaks

Peaks carried in stillness, water given a quiet voice. Tortoise Bearing Peaks · Carrying the Peaks uses a rounded-square outline and graphite-gray colored brass, with restrained warm-brass accents along shell ridges and landscape lines. One tortoise rests along the lower rim with its head at lower left; its shell at lower right supports three low mountain peaks. Shell ridges meet fine mountain lines, leaving upper left quiet. Shallow shell relief meets open space around a single central aperture. The reverse retains three short mountain lines at upper left and one small shell scute at lower right. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared visual rhythm.
