Tortoise Bearing Peaks · Listening to the Tide uses a rounded-square outline and graphite-gray colored brass, with restrained warm-brass accents along shell ridges and landscape lines. One tortoise gathers at lower left and turns its neck toward right; two curling waves rise along the right rim beside finely patterned shell scutes. Shallow shell relief meets open space around a single central aperture. The reverse retains one short wave at upper right and two small shell scutes at lower left. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and plain warm-brass fittings continue the collection’s shared visual rhythm.
