Ten Scenes Along the Way brings together Pine Wind, Bamboo Shadows, Listening to Rain, Moon Crossing, Watching the Tide, Snow Bridge, Lotus Dew, Homeward Sail, Distant Lantern and Clearing Mist. A four-lobed outline, graphite-black colored brass and restrained warm-brass accents connect all ten. Only the central mounting aperture is retained, leaving a continuous field for branches, rainfall, tides and bridge silhouettes.
Each scene has its own focus and open space: some follow the rim, some gather in a corner, some move along a diagonal, and others open into the distance. A simpler motif continues each scene on the reverse. Black wrapping, ivory diamond windows and coordinated brass fittings connect the entire collection.
